Root Canal Treatment |
|
Root Canal Therapy (RCT) is advised when the pulp inside the tooth becomes infected by disease or bacteria, or gets damaged by a traumatic injury to the tooth. If left untreated an infected root canal can allow bacteria in the mouth to enter bloodstream and cause infections in other parts of the body. Root canal treatment’s main aim is to save your damaged tooth and it will also stop harmful infections from spreading in other parts of your body. At our Dental Spa, the RCT procedure is simplified and made as painless as possible using latest technologies. In most cases the treatment procedure involves the removal of infected pulp from inside the tooth. The area is then cleaned, disinfected and if needed the inner canals are reshaped beneath the tooth. The tooth is prepared for filling, and in most cases, an artificial crown made of porcelain or metal is used. The procedure enables you to keep most of your original tooth.
