Technology Lighting Center (TLC) is one of the latest technologies in dentistry. In simple words it is a combination of operating light and viewing monitor. TLC is nowadays a vital component in ensuring patient comfort and flexibility. Using TLC patients can view DVD movies, cable television, or patient education materials, etc. in upright or reclined position. To optimize viewing the monitor is mounted on a track attached to the ceiling and it can rotate vertically or horizontally. A glare-free operating light is directed into the mouth, away from the patients’ eyes, so that they can have an unobstructed view of the monitor. TLC is an excellent tool to redirect attention and to help relax during cosmetic and laser dentistry procedures.
